1. Pisani returns! So does Tjarnq! Oilers win 4-3 in shootout against Detroit, the current top seeded team in the West. <3 Lupul is out :( Enough with the freaking concussions, two in two days. OMFG.
2. Even if you don't like hockey (PECA LOVE), chances are that you will enjoy this:
It was noted the absence of Peca and Tucker, who had their own thing going when the Leafs and New York Islanders met in the 2002 playoffs, would deprive fans at the Nassau Coliseum last night of seeing them play together.
"We will entertain them by walking around the concourse holding hands and skipping around, winking and waving," Peca said.
I have no words. Just, yeah. This is why I love the man.
3. Since when is killing off the character of the single most show-promoting actor in your cast a good thing? Since Rob Thomas is a moron, that's when. I don't know what bothers me the most about this, but the fact that Muhney went to the ER with glass shards in his hands/face trying to get them that shot? And then returned to the set because he wanted to finish shooting? Although I totally want to believe that Lamb's not dead, and it's all some plot to catch out Dean O'Dell's murderer. Cause Muhney would totally enjoy playing along to that. Bye bye, Lambikins!

Date: 2007-02-28 02:21 am (UTC)and missing an open net and tripping over his own damn skates-- wow. the embarassment. that was just cringe-worthy, and the look on his face afterwards. and then that beautiful little goal by Hemsky, just tucking it behind the stars's goalie at the perfect moment. yay!
i watched part of a ridiculous game between the flames and the sharks last week while i was doing my laundry. it was awful. i caught part of the 2nd period, and it was like watching basketball not hockey. both teams were playing offensive hockey and were really crappy on the defense, so they spent the period chasing the puck up and down the ice, switching ends every 30 seconds, racking up the goals. it was 4-4 by the end of the period-- i didn't see the end. but man, i've only really watched the oilers and the teams they play. i think i was spoiled. this was stupid hockey-- they kept screwing up and letting the other team score on both sides, and there were no plays, just the star forwards on either side taking dumb shots at the goal all over the place without setting anything up, even from the blueline, and lots of physicality-- people getting creamed into the boards everywhere, and a couple fights. it really sucked.
