it was traumatic, but really good. angst was well-done. bsg should take notes.
and they really need to remake Neverwhere. though not hollywood.
what i was thinking from the trailer for stardust was that they went and made it epic fantasy, and one of the things i like best about neil gaiman is how he never goes for the epic battles or the resounding world implications. it's always done on an intimate scale-- what it means, in great detail, for the few characters he writes about. and this is a GOOD thing. why couldn't they make the movie like that?-- intimate fantasy. we don't need another pirates of the carribean 2 or lord of the rings.
and sam should never, ever have sex with a woman again. ever. the girl ends up dying every single time. sarah doesn't know how lucky she was to get off with a kiss.
see what i was saying about greek tragedy, family curses, and being so very screwed?
