Lady Patrice’s engagement was uncommonly short and the wedding plans hurried
She wore her mother’s dress to the altar.

Her mother’s dress, loose at the waist,
folded to hide pregnancy.

Like Ilane, Patrice’s radiance came not from the wedding
but from the child whom she carried.

A child not belonging to the groom, but to her father.
Had Piers actually been her father.

Which coincidentally, he wasn’t.

Respectable, but not respect;

Yeah, I don't do incest well. Which I supose is a good thing, but still.

Ah - I was trying to get at Patrice (Kel's oldest sister) isn't Piers (Kel's dad) daughter (totally not canon), and so it's not technically incest, if she has his child.
